About this event
Imagine if we could get off the restricted-grant-funding hamster wheel and focus on making meaningful impact with an abundant budget! Join changemaking superthinker Shaun Loney to explore specific, concrete examples of how to sell the outcomes you’re already achieving differently, and change the relationships you have with the people paying for your work.
Who is this for?
This two half-day workshop is designed for social entrepreneurs, non-profits and charities, people in government who want to build the types of relationships that will allow doing business differently, funders who want to be part of shifting the paradigm, community based innovators/entrepreneurs from BIPOC communities, and students who want to learn from one of the most prolific social entrepreneurs in Canada.
What change might we make with outcomes procurement?
How might we bridge the gap between the 64,000 people in Alberta who are looking for work and the 86,000 jobs Alberta has sitting empty? How might we better manage chronic illnesses like Diabetes for better health outcomes? How might we create more affordable housing options to allow for people to age in place in their own neighbourhoods? How might we create better maternal health outcomes? How might we tackle racism and related crimes so people feel safer? Practically every complex issue which faces our society has outcomes that can be addressed.
