Impact Startup program has found it’s way to Finland

Finnish association for social enterprices ARVO will lauch Impact Startup acceleration program in Finland in 2020.  Impact StartUp is a Nordic concept that is also launhed in also Sweden, Denmark and Norway. Nordic impact startups get intensive coaching for developing their business and help in finding new networks and funding.

 

Open for early stage impact startups and impact organizations’ internal teams

Impact Startup is open for for early stage enterprises that want to solve societal problems with their business and scale their operations. In addition to startups, accelerator is open to internal teams of organizations that aim for social impact. The main criteria is impact – it needs to be in the core of operations.

 

Impact knowledge to investors and public procurers

Impact Startup also aims to enhance the knowledge of investors and public procurers about impact. This is done through Investor Lab and Public Procurement Lab concepts within the acceleration program. Investor lab provides investors tools and support to impact investing. Public Procurement Lab supports public sector in developing solutions for buying impact.

 

The first Finnish program focuses on developing solutions for employment

The first Finnish program takes place during fall 2020. The program focuses on solutions for employing people in vulnerable work life situations. As part of the latest developments in world situation concerning Corona – Covid 19, this program will also look for opportunities how to support rebuilding the society.

Finnish Impact StartUp is financed by  Nordic Innovation fund. Main partners are SitraTradekaInvalidisäätiö ja Y-SäätiöProgram is free of charge for organizations accepted to participate. Application for the program will open during spring 2020.
